Who We Are

A Silicon Materials Supplier Built for Industrial Supply

FerrumX manufactures, processes and exports silicon carbide and selected silicon-based materials for industrial buyers who require defined chemistry, controlled particle size and dependable order documentation.

Our core offer is black and green silicon carbide in lump, grain, grit and powder forms. We work with abrasive, refractory and metallurgical customers from specification review and sample evaluation through batch testing, packing and shipment.

Rather than presenting every requirement as a standard grade, we review the intended application, acceptance limits and commercial conditions before recommending a product route.

Why Choose FerrumX?

Our Values

Our values guide how we manufacture, test, protect customer information and support international supply. They are working principles applied throughout specification review, production and delivery.

01

Responsible Operations

We work to maintain safe production practices, responsible resource use and clear operating controls. Environmental, health and safety requirements are treated as part of manufacturing discipline—not as separate marketing claims.

02

Reliable Supply Planning

We review material availability, production capacity, processing requirements and delivery conditions before confirming an order. This helps buyers plan regular demand and discuss unexpected requirements with realistic expectations.

03

Consistent Batch Quality

Customer products depend on repeatable raw-material performance. We align chemistry, particle size, test method and acceptance limits, then provide the batch documentation agreed for the shipment.

04

Application-Led Development

When a standard grade does not fit, we work with the customer to review the application, processing route and target values. Any custom solution is evaluated against technical feasibility and measurable acceptance criteria.

05

Respect for Confidentiality

Specifications, formulations, process information and commercial requirements shared for product evaluation are handled as confidential business information and used only to support the agreed customer project.

06

International Supply Support

We support overseas buyers with specification communication, export packing, documentation and shipment coordination. Requirements are reviewed for the customer’s destination rather than treated as a one-size-fits-all order.

Purchasing FAQ

FAQ

What does FerrumX manufacture?

FerrumX manufactures silicon-based and nitride materials for industrial applications worldwide. Our core product lines include: (1) Silicon Carbide — black SiC (70–98%), green SiC (97–99.5%), micronized powder (F230–F1500), grit series (F8–F220), metallurgical grade (pellets & briquettes), and refractory grade; (2) Nitride Materials — silicon nitride powder (Si₃N₄), ferrosilicon nitride, ferrochrome nitride, and silicon manganese nitride; (3) Refractory Products — tap hole clay, trough & slag runners, and slide gate plates. Total annual SiC production capacity is 120,000 tons.

What industries use FerrumX products?

FerrumX products serve five major industrial sectors: (1) Steelmaking & Metallurgy — SiC deoxidizer and Si/C alloying additive, FeSiN for cast iron nucleation, LD/BOF energy booster; (2) Refractories — SiC for tap hole clay, trough runners, slide gate plates, kiln furniture, blast furnace linings; (3) Abrasives & Surface Finishing — SiC grains and powders for grinding, polishing, sandblasting; (4) Advanced Ceramics — Si₃N₄ for high-performance ceramic components and thermal management; (5) Power Electronics — SiC and Si₃N₄ substrates for EV power modules, semiconductor devices, and renewable energy systems.

How does FerrumX ensure product quality?

FerrumX operates an independent quality control laboratory equipped with ICP spectrometers for precise chemical composition analysis and laser particle-size analysers for particle-distribution verification. Every production batch undergoes full analytical testing before shipment, ensuring 100% qualified factory output. We also provide detailed analytical certificates (ICP + laser PSD) with every order and sample.

What is FerrumX’s production capacity?

FerrumX operates two 40,000 KVA large-scale Acheson smelting furnaces with an annual silicon carbide production capacity of 120,000 tons. Our facility includes five deep-processing production lines (crushing, milling, classification), one 500-ton hydraulic moulding press, four spray granulation machines for RTP (ready-to-press) granules, and fully automatic mixing tanks. Additionally, we produce 20,000 tons of shaped refractory products and 10,000 tons of unshaped refractories per year.

Does FerrumX offer free samples?

Yes. FerrumX provides free samples of 1–5 kg for all product grades, including SiC (black, green, powder, grit, metallurgical), nitride materials (Si₃N₄, FeSiN, FeCrN, SiMnN), and refractory products. Samples are dispatched within 3–5 business days with full analytical certificates. Custom formulations can also be sampled before committing to bulk orders.

Can FerrumX supply custom particle sizes or chemistry?

Selected custom requirements can be evaluated. Send the target values, test method, tolerance and expected annual demand.

Can FerrumX customise product specifications?

Yes. FerrumX offers full customisation across all product lines: custom SiC purity grades (60–99%), custom grit sizes (FEPA, JIS, ANSI, or bespoke distributions), custom grain shapes (cubic/blocky or sharp-edged/angular), custom bulk densities, and custom refractory formulations. For nitride materials, we can adjust Si₃N₄ content, free iron levels, and nitrogen content. Our R&D team co-develops customer-specific formulations with strict confidentiality.

What refractory products does FerrumX supply?

FerrumX supplies three core refractory product lines: (1) Tap Hole Clay — high-performance blast furnace tap hole plugging material with optimised SiC content for thermal shock resistance; (2) Trough & Slag Runners — monolithic refractory castables for blast furnace main trough, iron runners, and slag runners; (3) Slide Gate Plates — refractory plates for ladle and tundish flow control systems. Annual refractory production capacity: 20,000 tons shaped + 10,000 tons unshaped products.
