ROTARY CALCINERS
Rotary calciners, also known as indirectly heated/fired rotary kilns, are a type of externally heated rotary furnace. They can efficiently process various materials, including lime calcination, plastic pyrolysis, calcination of iron phosphate, calcination of lithium manganese iron phosphate, calcination of lithium carbonate, roasting of lithium hydroxide, and calcination of graphite anodes.
ROTARY KILN CALCINERS
The rotary kiln calciners process is characterized by raw materials moving through a slowly rotating cylindrical furnace, where multi-zone temperature settings allow for precise control of the calcination process. This enables materials to undergo calcination, pyrolysis, and roasting in a controlled temperature environment. The rotating motion ensures uniform heat distribution, eliminates hotspots, and maintains product purity and stable quality without contamination.

Calciners Rotary Kilns
Workflow of Calciners Rotary Kilns
Material Feeding: Raw materials are transferred from the buffer silo to the dual-screw feeder through the star discharge valve. The dual-screw feeder then feeds the raw materials into the interior of the rotary calcination furnace.
Combustion and Heating: Fule combusts inside the rotary kiln calciner, producing high-temperature flue gas. The flue gas indirectly heats the exterior of the rotary drum. Heat is transferred through the outer wall of the drum to the raw materials on the inner wall, raising their temperature.
Heat Recovery: Flue gas passes through the waste heat recovery pipe into the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger draws ambient air from the workshop, which is then pressurized by the combustion-supporting fan. Heat exchange occurs, recovering waste heat from the flue gas. Part of the heated air returns to the calcination rotary kiln as combustion-supporting air. Another portion of the heated air enters the exhaust gas combustion chamber to assist further combustion, thereby saving natural gas and achieving energy conservation and environmental protection.
Material Discharge: Calcinered materials exit the kilns through the discharge sealing box. These materials are then fed into the dual-screw discharge feeder. After cooling via water circulation in the cooling pipe, the materials are discharged.
Exhaust Gas Treatment: The exhaust gas treatment system handles the exhaust gases produced by Calciner. The process includes combustion, dust removal, cooling, and purification.
Highly combustion control, matching your Rotary Calciners process needs
The design of indirectly heated rotary kilns allows for the adjustment and control of combustion temperature, combustion atmosphere, and combustion time. Precisely set and adjust the combustion process according to specific process requirements. This flexibility not only enhances process adaptability but also optimizes product quality and production efficiency. By adjusting the combustion temperature, the thermal treatment needs of different materials can be met; by controlling the combustion atmosphere, changes in oxidation or reduction atmospheres can be achieved to accommodate various chemical reaction requirements; and adjusting the combustion time ensures that materials are adequately processed within the appropriate timeframe, ensuring precise control over your product quality and production efficiency.
High-quality materials, stable and high-temperature performance of Rotary Calciners
Indirectly heated rotary kilns are constructed with special drum materials, and the combustion chamber linings use stable refractory fibers. These materials exhibit excellent high-temperature performance and can be used for extended periods in high-temperature environments. With a maximum operating temperature of up to 1150°C, this equipment can handle a variety of materials and processes that require high-temperature treatment. Additionally, this high-temperature capability ensures more stable temperature distribution during operation, thereby improving product uniformity and quality.
Adjustable kiln tilt and rotation speed to meet diverse process requirements of Rotary Calciners
The design of this equipment allows for easy and flexible adjustment of the kiln tilt and drum rotation speed. By adjusting the kiln tilt, the residence time and flow speed of the material inside the kiln can be altered, optimizing the thermal treatment effect. Adjusting the drum rotation speed allows for control over the tumbling and mixing of the material. This adjustability enables the equipment to adapt to different material characteristics and process requirements, further enhancing production flexibility and efficiency.
Fully automated control system for continuous, stable, and efficient production with Rotary Calciners
The system operation employs fully automated control, which not only simplifies the operational process but also ensures continuous and stable production. The fully automated control system can monitor and adjust various process parameters in real-time, ensuring the equipment operates in optimal conditions. Additionally, the automated control provides multiple protection mechanisms, effectively safeguarding the drum and extending the equipment’s lifespan. For operators, the fully automated control system also enhances operational safety and convenience.
Environmentally friendly clean combustion with multiple fuel options provided by Rotary Calciners
Indirectly heated rotary kilns utilize clean combustion technology to meet strict environmental emission standards. The equipment can use various fuels, such as electricity, natural gas, liquefied gas, coke oven gas, producer gas, and light diesel, offering diverse options that can be optimized based on fuel availability and cost. Additionally, the clean combustion technology reduces the emission of harmful gases, minimizing environmental impact and meeting modern environmental requirements.
